FOR SKIN THAT CAN HANDLE LIFE

BE THE FIRST TO TRY HOLSKIN

WHY HOLSKIN EXISTS

Growing up, beauty wasn’t about appearance; it was about resetting. After long periods of work, my mum would have someone come to the house for a facial or massage simply to feel human again. That became my earliest understanding of self-care.

As I got older, my interest in skin and wellbeing grew with me. I became curious about how stress, hormones, movement, nutrition, and even breath all show up on the skin. That curiosity eventually led me into yoga training, and later, into studying skin health more formally.

But everything changed after I had my son.

When I became a mother, I struggled massively. Skincare rituals became my lifeline. In the chaos of early motherhood, exhaustion, depression & isolation, my skincare routine was the one thing that reconnected me to me.

But my skin had changed.

Stress, hormones, and sleepless nights had left their mark, and suddenly, the products that once worked, stopped working. My skin changed in ways I didn’t expect. It became reactive, temperamental, and far more sensitive to stress.

I couldn’t find products that truly supported what my skin needed at that stage: not more exfoliation or strong acids, but something that helped rebuild its strength, supported my barrier, and felt calming instead of overwhelming.

I began to wonder, why isn’t skincare built to adapt to us, the way our bodies, lives, and emotions constantly do?

I wanted formulas that strengthened skin through change, not just masked its symptoms.

Resilience, not perfection, became the goal.

That’s really where Holskin began, with the realisation that resilience isn’t something we “achieve”; it’s something we build, slowly, through small choices and supportive rituals, and that the nervous system matters as much as the skin barrier. I wanted to create formulas that respect the skin, work with it rather than against it, and acknowledge the emotional context behind how we feel in our skin.
